The Green Room has been funded by Westminster Council and offers 12 emergency bed spaces to female rough sleepers who have, are currently, or are at risk of experiencing violence. The purpose of this post is to deliver support to these women whilst improving joint working with domestic violence agencies who can in turn provide support and advice to staff and clients.
You will improve cross sector working between rough sleeping and DV/SV sectors via training, case work and acting as a ‘go to’ liaison point for advice. Your work will include evolving and monitoring Domestic Violence services as well as assessing staff and service user training needs. A focus on information sharing, recording data and reporting on outcomes is also key.
To be successful, you will have a Diploma or Foundation degree in a related field (e.g. Social Work, Nursing, social policy, community development) and/or demonstrable on the job training and experience in the homeless sector with knowledge demonstrated to be equivalent to the required qualifications. Experience in assisting homeless/vulnerable people to access health services and have an understanding of the barriers that homeless people face in accessing Domestic Violence services.
