We are currently looking to expand our team of dedicated support workers in both Frinton-On-Sea and Clacton-On-Sea who are supporting a unique group of adults who have a learning disability.
You don’t really need to have any of the above skills but you do need to answer yes to the below questions:
- Are you eager, enthusiastic and outgoing?
- Do you want a job where you can go home knowing that you have made a difference to someone’s day?
- From your next job opportunity do you want award winning training, career progression and exceptional company benefits?
Everyone has their own requirements but the type of support you will provide would be around administering medication, helping with personal care and offering support with cooking healthy meals.
Being a support worker isn’t just about making day to day life good, it’s about having fun! You could be helping one of the people we support make models out of small pieces of wood, or visiting Ipswich Town FC, you could be helping one of our ladies secure her dream job or going to visit pugs, baking cakes or even visiting a fire station and meeting a fireman. Creating a spectacular day really makes being a support worker even more of an amazing job.
Support workers must be flexible in the hours they can work, as support can be required 24 hours a day. You will work on a rota basis throughout the week, weekends and bank holidays with sleep-ins as well. We have various hours available, from part time to full time or even relief staff.
One of the most amazing things about being a Support Worker is that anyone can do it! As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us.
An enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply)
